Accessibility

Last updated June 2026

We want Sounderman to be usable by everyone and aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA where reasonably possible.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML and labelled controls so screen readers can navigate the app.
  • Full keyboard operation with a visible focus outline on every interactive element.
  • Respect for the operating-system 'reduce motion' setting — animations are minimised when requested.
  • A light and dark theme, with colour choices chosen for readable contrast.
  • Text that scales with your browser's zoom and font-size settings.

Known limitations

Some areas (such as the live audio visualiser) are decorative and are hidden from assistive technology. We are continually improving and welcome reports of anything that gets in your way.

Feedback

If you hit an accessibility barrier, email marvin.kiefer@swisswebdev.ch and we'll do our best to help and fix it.
